A recent study by LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute found that financial advisors have completed formal retirement income plans for only 35 percent of their retired clients. That’s leaving a lot of retirees with no financial roadmap to supplementing their income. The study also found that pre-retirees and retirees who do have a formal retirement income plan tend to save more and have a better knowledge of how long their retirement savings will last them. Although these plans tend to be tedious to craft, it allows clients to enter retirement feeling prepared.
